Happy New Year! My December/January Creepy Crate arrived last week just before I left for Florida for Christmas. These two have been anxious for the unboxing and write up.

In this box, a new 2020 cryptid calendar, two books – one ebook, one paperback, a squishy zombie doll, skeleton gloves, a Krampus pin and two shot glasses!

Reuben’s (formerly known as Skeleton 1) pick was the ebook – Charnel House by Graham Masterton. It took about an hour and some cursing to get it to my Kindle, but I finally succeeded. The book is described as “haunted house horror with demonic folklore”..  Sign me up!

Remnar’s (formerly known as Skeleton 2) pick was the paperback – Stoker’s Wilde by Steven Hopstaken and Melissa Prusi. Though I’m excited for a new read, the card that accompanies every box indicated that subscribers would receive either this book or They Amityville Horror by Jay Anson. Though I’ve read Amityville a million times, I’d have loved to receive that instead!  I ordered a used copy to replace the one I lost years ago and it arrived looking like it was drug behind the FedEx truck that delivered it. But, a new book is a new book and I’m looking forward to curling up with Stoker’s Wilde on a stormy night.

My own zombie stress ball!  And he arrived with a strange aroma that I still can’t quite place.

Haha, Hands of Death touchscreen gloves!  I have a pair of these gloves (painted the bones with glow in the dark paint but it didn’t really work) but these have special thread/fabric on the fingertips so you can use a touchscreen device.  Pretty cool!

The Krampus pin. Hehehe… You’d better watch out, you’d better not cry..

And my favorite item in this box.. The Grady twins shot glasses.  “Come play with us, Danny…”

Forever, and ever, and ever..

Hehehe..  Just in time to toast the new year.

My monthly/bi-monthly delivery of creepy awesomeness is now in sync, as an email snafu screwed me out of the December and January Night Worms boxes. But, that’s all cleared up and I’m back on track for February, when the next Creepy Crate will arrive.

Happy New Year and Happy Reading!
