Well, this is not the Saturday we woke up to, but we do have rain and snow in the forecast so it brought me back to January 2015 when we went snowmobiling with friends in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. It’s currently 40 degrees – quite a dip from the 72 degrees we had yesterday afternoon. I wonder if we will see snow today.

So glad you could join me for coffee! I know it’s 11 a.m., I’ve been up since 8:30 a.m. with the intentions of writing but of course lost two and a half hours to Facebook and other distractions. But, I did fold and upgrade my Dropbox storage. Now as I type this, my laptop is churning away uploading everything of value to the cloud.

If we were having coffee, I’d ask you about your plans for Thanksgiving. I’m looking forward to both attending and hosting as I do most years – my sister’s on Thanksgiving, then I put on dinner on Friday for my in-laws. It works perfectly since they have other family to visit on Thanksgiving Day. I’d like to try something new and have found several new recipe ideas shared by friends.

The short week will be nice, but it only means fitting in extra hours as it’s crunch time at work. We have several projects that must be completed by 12/31, along with typical fourth quarter madness. It makes the countdown to spring go faster!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you I’m happy to still be in NaBloPoMo, but may take some time off in December. It sure is a challenge writing every day when most days there is really nothing of extreme interest to share! The prompts have not been of much help to me.

So how was your week? How will you spend the Thanksgiving holiday?

  1. Snow already! Cool. 🙂 I’ve made it snow on my websites. It was 70 degrees here today, but expected to be very cold tomorrow and… I smelled winter out there! This excites me as it’s my favorite season.

Thanksgiving for me is a small dinner with local fam. Cornish hens this year, which I like. Homemade stuffing. Pie. And the best part — four days off from work. Ahhhhhhh.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

    1. Thanks for stopping by! I’m more excited about snow than usual, we got a dusting on Saturday and it was very cool to see it coming down. Bill surprised me with a possible trip to the UP again – I didn’t think we’d be able to swing it. Now, I’m really fired up. Hope you have a great Thanksgiving!

  2. We had some snow on Sunday and looking outside this morning, it looks like we are set for some more today. At least some flurries – no big snowstorm yet.
