#Weekend Coffee Share: Halfway through October!

Good Morning! Realizing my last coffee share post was titled Halfway through September and it’s halfway through October.  We are now in the time of year that flies until after the holidays. Then it will drag until Spring.

How have you been? Grab a cup and get comfy. It’s another chilly but sunny fall day. With all the overcast days we get this season, I give thanks for every minute of sunshine.

So much has happened in the last month and the Halloween activities are in full swing!  On September 19th I went on a super fun witch paddle with Luna Moon SUP, (I’ll write up that post and link it), planted some gorgeous purple asters in my front yard (I swore I took a pic when it was in full bloom), got a decent riding day in, decorated for the Halloween season, spent a week in Florida with my sister and attended a cool Halloween vendor market. In between Florida and the Halloween events, Bill had hernia surgery and is recovering.

Our last ride, likely the last of the season.

In Florida, my sister and I rented a cabin at Jetty Park, on the Atlantic Ocean. It was nice to be there for a few days and just a few steps away from the water.

I will never forget this moment. This was on a Wednesday morning. I’m thinking phys ed class for those homeschool kids.  So fortunate.

We got to watch Falcon 9 go up, from the Kennedy Space Center!

Back at my sister’s we built a fire pit from an abundance of bricks that she had. My other sister sent the picture as an idea, and we had all we needed to build it.

Back home, my bestie and I attended Wicked Pick’N, a cool Halloween vendor market.

After the market, we went to Sterling State Park and enjoyed the rest of that beautiful day by Lake Erie.  This park is near and dear as my folks took us camping there many times growing up.  She came with several times and we have lots of boating memories.  That was over 40 years ago. Wow.

Last night I attended a friend’s party where we also attempted the witch’s dance!

I made soul cakes with diced cranberries but failed to get a picture.  Before I left, Larry joined me briefly for a photo.  My best friend made the broom I took – she did an amazing job!

Now here I am on Sunday about to write a To Do list and pick the top three things that need to get done before the workweek starts, since I WON’T get it all done. LOL

How’ve you been?  Would you like a warm up?

Thank you, Natalie for hosting the Weekend Coffee Share!
