Good morning! Thanks for stopping by. Not my favorite thing to do but Saturday I had an early morning to go get bloodwork done. I had a 7am appointment so I was in and out, relatively pain free. I was grateful I have grown accustomed to black coffee as that is all I could have this morning. Then I attended the most beautiful funeral mass for my dear friend’s mom. I met up with three other co-workers and we enjoyed chatting with my friend’s old colleagues, neighbors and friends. It was a really nice send off.
This week went by fast. We have a pretty heavy project at work we are navigating but a meeting yesterday alleviated much of my anxiety and for that I’m grateful. Speaking of grateful, check out Maria’s new daily gratitude practice for 2026. I keep a paper gratitude journal as well, but I love that I will be able to filter on these posts at the end of the year and flip back through them.
Today I’m excited to attend an open practice for the witches dance! A local group here puts on the dance at different venues around Halloween, you may have seen the below video on YouTube. It looks like fun so I plan to pop in and give it a whirl.
We have a mix of snow and rain today. No snow on the ground anymore so it’s just dead, brown and depressing. Hopefully we get more snow storms this year. I’m still reminiscing about our last snowmobile trip and though I hope it’s not the last, I still give thanks for a such a good weekend – great riding conditions, minor mechanical troubles (can’t even call it trouble, more of a concern) and overall, safety all around. My awesome sister up north mailed me a colored print of a trail map near her house and I hope we can go up, visit with she and my bro-in-law, and explore trails around their house.

I’ll send some snow you way!!! We have so much snow right now, and more to come. Before the snow arrived I told the children at work that we need to make up a fun rhyme or song about snowing to make it snow, and they did, and have been saying their little rhyme several times a day since then. They now believe that they made it snow. LOL. That was one of the first thing they told me today when I came back to work after my vacation.
I’d love that! It’s only the start of the season and I hope we get in several more trips!
