Good Morning! I missed our last coffee share. Last weekend we took on the long overdue task of painting our bedroom and it did indeed take ALL. WEEKEND. I still have some touch up work to do but I’m so happy to finally get that off the list. How’ve you been?
Today it’s supposed to reach 68 degrees and I will soon be OUTSIDE. Our last bout of warm weather had me doing yard work and I filled five yard waste bags. There is much more to clean up. We’re supposed to have more of that hellacious wind so I don’t know how much raking I’ll get done and I wanted also to have a fire. We’ll see.
Last Thursday I attended Silent Book Club at Nocturnal in Monroe! I met up with a friend and her aunt and we enjoyed two hours of silence to lose ourselves in our chosen books. I sipped on a delicious Sleepy Hollow moon milk topped with gold stars and lavender, and munched on a monster dark chocolate cookie. Unfortunately Monroe is 30 miles one way from home, so my attendance won’t be too regular, but I’m glad I went. Nocturnal is such a cool little coffee shop. I’m also happy to report that I’m still germ free as there were several attendees obviously fighting a cold. Would love it if people would consider not sharing their germs but here we are.

On Tuesday, March 10th, Detroit broke a high temperature record of 75F!! The last record was 70F on March 10, 1925. 101 years! It was a gorgeous day. I raked and filled 5 bags of leaves and it actually got HOT in the sun! Haven’t felt that in so long. Our stretch of weather in the teens seemed like yesterday and I’m anxious to forget those days.

Yesterday I hiked with a group of women to a new to me park, in nearby Novi. Tonight I’ll whip up a quick summary to share. With that, I should sign off this post and get going.. I look forward to heading over to your neck of the woods to see what’s up.
Thanks for stopping by and thank you Natalie for hosting our Weekend Coffee Share!
