Homesick

Have you ever missed a place so much not a day, even an hour goes by that you don’t think of it, picture it, imagine that you’re there? So familiar that you could step through an imaginary doorway and instantly be there, even though you’re thousands of miles away? Think of what it’s like at different times of the day, different times of the year?

It’s Thanksgiving and I’m thankful. Thankful even for the contrast that makes this place so special. Thankful it exists and that I’ve gotten a chance to visit it, every year.
