coffee mugs

Good morning and thanks for joining me! I wish it were warm enough to sit out on the patio, but those days are coming (not soon enough!). At least we have sunshine and a clear sky.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that it’s been a full week since my surgery and things are coming along nicely. This week is my follow up appointment with the surgeon and I’m anxious to see the x-ray and get his opinion/direction on next steps. I’m able to do quite a bit more without pain, so that is encouraging.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how I feel I haven’t gotten much done, though I had a full list of things I wanted to do while I recover – Netflix, read, study, blogging, photography. I’ve gotten the Netflix part down pretty well, but I need to time the reading/blogging to when I don’t feel so groggy from the painkiller. Every time I pick up a book or grab my laptop, I become drowsy after a bit.

I am SO excited to receive my first Nocturnal Reader’s Box!  Unfortunately, because of the timing of my order, it will likely not arrive until the first week of March. This isn’t the first time I’ve gushed about this (just wait until the box arrives!) and I can’t wait to see what is in the March box. Several peeps on Instagram have been sharing pics of their loot in the past boxes and it all looks just delightfully creepy!

I have several books on my reading list and just downloaded Summer of 79, which is described as a mix between Stranger Things and Stand By Me. That was all I needed to hear. Because even though you have a stack of books yet to be read, you still need more, right?  Plus, it was an ebook. Doesn’t count.

Well, enough about me, how about you? Would love to hear about your week before I move on and get some of these exercises done.

  1. I’m glad the recovery from your surgery is going well. I agree with you, it is impossible to have a TBR list that is too long. As long as the list keeps moving, i.e., you continue to read, the more you toss on the better 😉 Like Colline, I’m not sure what the nocturnal reader box is. I’ll check after I post the comment.

    have a great week!
