Perkins Coffee Mug

Come on in and make yourself comfy!  I have coffee and several kinds of teas, heck maybe Sleepytime as it’s 9pm (wait, it’s really 10pm!  OMG) Gotta love DST.

Today was a mild day for early November, but rainy. The trailer is winterized (crying) but still needed cleaning so I spent a better part of the morning cleaning the sinks and floors, and running the vacuum. With the ongoing rain, we had to climb up once the slides were in, and dry them off. Then ran the air for a while to pull out any humidity. Once things dry out, the cover will go on.

How was your week? We got all the Halloween decor put away but won’t be decorating for Christmas until Thanksgiving weekend, maybe later. I’m all for one holiday at a time and not skipping over Thanksgiving. Lately I’ve been feeling like decorating for the holidays though. Our house isn’t exactly barren, maybe I just need a change. We were at Lowe’s today looking for a cabinet to mount above the washer and drying to replace the ugly wall-mounted shelving. We had to go through the appliances to get to the cabinetry and we actually both fell in love with this fridge, that happens to be on sale.

Our current fridge still works, but is rather old, and probably not running efficiently. (Bill made mention of that and that’s good enough for me! :-)). The only time I’ve bought an appliance is when my previous one stopped working and could not be fixed. I’m so tempted. It’s on sale, and Bill said he could easily run the water line for the water and ice dispenser. Sigh. What to do.

I was surprised how fast this week went by with nothing to look forward to. LOL I don’t mean that as pessimistic as it sounds – it’s just that I’m used to planning for camping weekends, and with each day something to get done, shopping, packing, miscellaneous camping needs, the days of the week fly. Sleeping in was of course blissful and just hanging around the house getting things done made for a good weekend, even though we did nothing exciting.  Those days are just fine sometimes.

Hope your weekend was everything you wanted it to be! Talk soon!

  1. Kathleen, I am a one holiday at a time girl too. It does seem that the older I get I enjoy the holidays more. Maybe that’s because I now have more time to enjoy them! When I worked in the hospital (for about 100 years) I always volunteered to work the holidays because there were fewer patients, the doctors came and went early and I made a lot more money! So our holidays were always a scramble on dates!
