Coffee and tea

Good Morning! Make yourself at home while I pour you a cup of whatever you wish! I found this Blueberry Green Tea yesterday at Marshall’s while I was on the hunt for Jordan’s Skinny Syrups for my coffee. No luck on the syrups, so I’ll have to hit the website, but I did find this awesome blueberry green tea, the Starbucks Mocha and these cool measuring cups I’m going to send to my sister, a fellow cat lover.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you this week again flew by – it happens when you’re at max capacity with work. It seems every day I look up at the clock and it’s 1pm already. But it’s work I love to do and I’d MUCH rather be busy than bored.

This weekend is shaping up to be a catch up, get things done weekend. No snowmobile trips (crying), no flooring work (not this weekend, probably next) and our highs won’t reach 30 degrees.  Brrrrrrrr.  As I mentioned on Facebook, I’m torn between dying for more snow to ride my sled and dying for warm weather to ride my bike. Or open the camper. Or work outside in the yard.  Our week looks like this so far.

And I just realized I have the Snipping Tool! I just used it to grab the above image. It’s the little things, really.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how I’m planning to change up my blog schedule. If you’ve been a regular reader, you’ve noticed I’ve totally strayed, especially since the beginning of the year. I do this to myself all the time – take on too much and totally underestimate. Then life happens (every day, it seems, darn it! LOL) and there is never enough time in the day to do all the writing I plan (want) to do.  Argghhh!!! So, changes are coming, hopefully which will allow me to become more consistent.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that our kindling pile has grown! Our three silver maples lost a ton of branches from last week’s high winds. Luckily though, we never lost power, likely because we bought a generator! About five years ago we lost power for several days, bought a generator, fired it up and I kid you not, power was restored less than 30 minutes later. And we’ve not lost power since. Of course.

So if I feel like leaving the house today (not likely) I’ll pile up the branches. Right now we’ve got blue sky and sun, so at least it’s not a cold, gray bucket of suck like Michigan usually is. 🙂

So how was your week?

    1. Hi Rosemary! The UP is the only place with good riding conditions right now! How I wish we could go. But we’re down by Detroit and it’s a looooonnng ride to the bridge when you only have Friday through Sunday. Wish we had more time off, we’d be there right now! Thanks for reading!

  1. The conditions there sound just like here in Wisconsin. I’m hoping for the warmer weather, so I can get outside and walk. I’ve never been one for snow, as I grew up in California and so I crave the warm weather because of it. The wind this week was terrible! Our dogs keep trying to eat all of the fallen branches and then, of course, they get sick because of it! Here’s to hoping Spring comes soon! Have a great weekend! 🙂

    1. Oh no! I’ve never heard of dogs trying to eat branches! Quite a difference between California and Wisconsin.. I’ll be glad when it warms up, too..

    1. No doubt! We’ve had some crazy weather, but Michigan has always had crazy weather.. 🙂 I’m ready for spring, though..

    1. Hi Dale! Yes, I think I’ll have a solstice celebration around the fire pit.. 🙂 We always have plenty of branches.. Thanks.. I really do miss blogging on a regular basis.

    1. Hi Mary! It was pretty good, I enjoy a cup every night with a book. 🙂 My sister just received the measuring cups and texted me that she loves them! haha.. Too cool when you find the perfect surprise gift for someone.

    1. I do miss sitting outside on the patio.. Hopefully soon when this 4″ of snow melts! Thanks for reading!
