Welcome back to the Rewind!  How was your week? I can’t believe next week is Thanksgiving! Actually, I can. It always flies, pretty soon we’ll be toasting each other on New Year’s Eve and it’s onto a brand new year. 2018. Holy Cow.

I had to be up at the crack of dawn this morning to get to the lab for a blood draw, otherwise I’d be spending the whole day there. After, I hit the produce market and found these awesome poinsettias. After some rearranging, they found their new home by the fireplace.

This is the first time I’ve ever had real poinsettias in my house. I always thought they were poisonous to cats, but today read that they’re just mildly toxic. Still wouldn’t have had them since I know my fur children would have eaten them like they did all my plants. Now that I’m without them (sniff), I splurged on some holiday cheer.

Also during my errand stops I found this awesome cocoa trimming kit! Haha..

I look forward to baking this year and found some cool confections with which to decorate treats. I’ve got some time for that purchase, though.

Projects are coming together at work for the looming 1/1/18 launch date. Other details are coming together as well, making this journey a bit more clear. For that I am grateful.

As the year winds down, I’ve got two more books to read for the GoodReads challenge, and I think I’ll make it. Not like NaBloPoMo, however, which I bombed on Wednesday (folding arms and pouting). Just wasn’t feeling it. Anything. Wednesday was long – I worked late and by the time I got to the grocery store for the makings of dinner (because I haven’t planned any meals in weeks), got home, cooked… I had…nothing. So! We start up again today, Saturday, having missed 3 days. 🙁  Oh well.

GRATITUDE
My dad successfully underwent a procedure Thursday and was home the same day and doing well. 🙂  Glad he’ll be with two of my sisters for Thanksgiving. It’s always been a long distance holiday in my family, so the pics will be flying across the country via text. At least we have that.
