#DSFWeeklyRewind: The Final Countdown

Welcome back to the Rewind! I missed it last week, just a lot going on, and not a lot going on, at the same time! Ugh. It’s been busy but not too eventful in terms of blogging topics. I’m in the final stretch before my surgery and every time I think “countdown” the Europe song goes through my head. It’s been an extremely busy week at work, and I’ve got one more day to go to make sure all my projects are transferred and my co-workers have all their questions answered.  I’ll probably spend Monday night going through everything in my head, paranoid. Everyone has been telling me “Don’t worry! Focus on recovering!!” I get it. I just don’t want to leave anyone a mess. I feel bad enough my colleagues have to pick up the slack.

Leaving work this week, I took this photo from the 5th floor of the parking garage. Right before I hit the shutter button, a wind gust lifted up and held out the flag. Awesome.

I actually completed a photo a day challenge!  LOL Well, sort of. A few days were late, and once I transposed the prompt with the next day’s. All in all, I have 30 photos on Instagram for each of the January daily prompts.  Yay me!  February has been successful so far.  Yesterday’s prompt was Play, which I thought fits in with the weekly rewind.

I scored this book at Ollie’s! I just finished In a Dark, Dark Wood.  This one is supposed to be pretty good, according to several Facebook friends.  I smile when I think of all the reading time I will have over the next couple months.

GRATITUDE
My Awesome Husband Bill has been and will be a Godsend as I get through recovery. I can’t believe how my pain has escalated over these last, about 3-4 days. I really don’t know what I’d do if I lived alone! Family and friends have also offered to help and for that I’m so grateful. I’m happy that my surgeon said it looked like it should be an “easy” surgery and I can’t wait to walk without pain. I’ll never again take my health and mobility for granted.

So here, we go, it’s the final countdown!

  2. Hi, Kathleen! Good luck and don`t worry! I know it`s kind of generic but when you think about it, you can`t do anything with worrying too much except driving yourself crazy. You made a great point- never take health for granted. I wish you a fast recovery!
